880+ Black Hills Energy employees shared their energy with more than 900 community organizations.

$609,00+ United Way donations

Employees gave over $487,000 plus a 25% match from Black Hills Corporation Foundation to benefit 50 different United Way organizations across 7 states.

$534,000 Low-income energy assistance

Working with over two dozen nonprofit community partners, Black Hills Cares helped over 2,300 families in need with energy

$2.2 million grants, sponsorships & scholarships

Grants, sponsorships and scholarships support for the great work of hundreds of worthy local organizations and nonprofits who serve needs in our communities.

$678,000 economic development

Aided local organizations and Chambers of Commerce working to grow our communities in 2018.

9+ million gallons of storm water filtered

Invested in planting almost 2,400 trees which will grow to filter over 9 million gallons of storm water and avoid 3.7 million pounds of carbon.

900+ first responders

Hosted over 50 trainings benefiting over 900 first responders serving our communities.

7,500 energy efficiency kits

Shared nearly 7,500 energy efficiency kits with school children to teach energy conservation.
