The Identity and Access Management Sr Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day delivery, support, and continual improvement of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services provided by Enterprise Security. This role is part of an IAM team that is responsible for providing support of implementing, supporting and continually improving IAM services within Black Hills Energy. 

SALARY RANGE: $84,050 - $126,100  (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant)

LOCATION: Our Company Headquarters in Rapid City, South Dakota.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Manager, Identity and Access Management

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the implementation, products and operations for a Multi-Factor Authentication, Single Sign-On, Identity Governance Administration, Privileged Access, Data Governance, Identity Analytics and Role Based Access systems
  • Manage user life cycle processes in a shared services framework with focus on provisioning, de-provisioning, Identity Governance, entitlements, password management, Role Based Access Control, Least Privilege, Self Service/Self Registration.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of cyber security regulations and compliance, access review, audit, and remediation methods as well as identity and access management for Cloud, Workforce, Consumer, Digital, and API security
  • Partners with Information Technology peers, Enterprise Security team members, business partners, vendors and regulatory agencies regarding the security, compliance, and privacy interests as part of an effective IAM practice.
  • Perform process analysis and design creation that improves security controls related to identity or entitlement management. 
  • Development of identity and entitlement standards that leverage best practices.
  • Establish domain expertise in the management and development of formal policies or procedures which incorporate corporate practices and regulatory requirements. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tracks and reports risk management trends, opportunities, and remediation quarterly.
  • Makes recommendations to the IAM Manager, appropriate risk governance committees, line-of-business managers and IT directors concerning IAM related controls.
  • Acts as IAM liaison with all levels of the IT organization and with the lines of business and other internal groups and organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of (5) five years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Information Security, or similar business/industry experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Information Technology, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge across a broad range of identity and access management practices for Cloud, Workforce, Consumer, Digital, and API security.
  • Solid understanding of cyber security regulations and compliance, access review, audit, and remediation methods.
  • Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, Oauth and relevant IT architectures.
  • Knowledge of provisioning, federation, data sync, and directory services in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Proficient understanding of evolving Information Security regulations and standard methodologies.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP, SOX, HIPAA, TSA and PCI is desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate security- and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences,
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Knowledge of information in: ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CISA

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or continuously to lift, carry, push, pull or sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if moving about is only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Work environment: Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Willing to travel up to 10% (e.g., 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job and the employee must have proper licensing to operate a motor vehicle.
