Facilitate the accomplishment of business objectives through data analysis, metrics development and report creation.  Detect opportunities and recommend solutions that guide operations leaders in data driven performance optimization.

SALARY RANGE:  (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

• Operations Analyst: $65,700 - $98,500
• Senior Analyst: $78,200 - $117,300

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Manager, Utility Analytics

LOCATION: Cheyenne, Wyoming

• Relocation financial assistance is available, amount may vary based on individual circumstances. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Use statistics to proactively explore data looking for deficiencies, failures and inefficiencies.  
• Visualize, model or otherwise analyze each problem and support management to implement solutions.
• Develop key performance indicators and analyze results.
• Build, document, and maintain reports and dashboards for a large group of collaborators.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements to develop analytics solutions.
• Support project leaders and measure project implementation efforts through project KPIs, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and data-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Operations Analyst

• Minimum of (3) three years of experience in analytics, developing reports and KPIs is required.  
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 

Senior Analyst

• Minimum of (5) five years of experience in analytics, developing reports and KPIs is required. 
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Statistics, descriptive, and quantitative analysis.
• Expert in the use of Excel formulas to manipulate spreadsheet data.
• Proficient in data visualization and developing KPIs.
• Experience creating reports in an analytics tool (Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, etc).
• Present sophisticated analytics topic in a simple and straightforward manner.
• Basic understand of database relationships preferred.
• Basic understanding of SQL preferred.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is continuously moving about the job site or office space. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of reaching and moving controls exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Work environment: Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Willing to travel up to 25% (e.g. 1 week or 5 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job and the employee must have proper licensing to operate a motor vehicle.
