This important role will safely install, repair, and service domestic and commercial appliances covered.

PAY RANGE:    (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

  • Level I:   $22.62 - $33.82 per hour
  • Level II:   $25.31 - $37.96 per hour
  • Senior Level:  $28.46 - $42.60 per hour

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Operations Supervisor

LOCATION:   Glenwood Springs, Colorado

  • Must live within 30 minutes of reporting location. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Install, repair, and service domestic and commercial appliances covered under Service Guard program.
  • Promote safety in all phases of company operations.
  • Promote division profitability through increased sales of non-regulated programs.
  • Provide proactive assistance in the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Perform general customer service activity including, but not limited to, turn-ons and turn-offs, replace meters, collect unpaid bills, investigate calls regarding gas leaks and carbon monoxide presence, etc.
  • Perform on-call duties after hours.
  • Perform meter reading.
  • Perform some operations activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Level I:

  • No experience required. (entry level/training provided)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Level II:

  • Minimum of (2) two years of relevant experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Senior Level:

  • Minimum of (4) four years or relevant experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to obtain EPA Refrigerant Certification within 12 months.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills essential.
  • Safe work record and demonstration of a strong work ethic.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee continuously moves about the office and the job sites and operates machines and equipment. Employee frequently accesses low and high areas with additional equipment, ascends/descends stairs, maintains coordination, and engages in repetitive motions (kneeling, reaching). Employee may occasionally use a respirator. Employee operates job related equipment and tools. Employee routinely performs this work for an average of 8-10 hours per day and occasional extended hours as necessary. Regular, reliable, and timely attendance is expected.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work environment: Occasionally perform work indoors and routinely perform work outdoors in sometimes inclement weather with moderate to high noise level. Worker may be subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in places of height or close quarters (i.e. crawl spaces, small enclosed rooms, narrow aisles of passageways). Willing to travel up to 15% (e.g. 3.5 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job and the employee must
