This important role will partner with Human Resources staff to develop work process design and flow, improve processes, and demonstrate the return on HR technological capabilities. Build project plans, ensure alignment to project schedules, maintain a systems orientation, and work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. Serve as technical point-of-contact and assist subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Support upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. Provide support to user community.

SALARY RANGE:    (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

     Analyst: $58,900 - $88,400

     Senior Analyst: $76,300 - $114,450

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Manager, HR Systems

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Recommend and implement process/customer service improvements and innovative solutions to demonstrate technology applications.
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. 
  • Assist in vendor selection and analysis and coordinate configuration and implementation of new systems/modules.
  • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities. 
  • Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. 
  • Train on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.
  • Review and audit data in a systematic way to ensure data integrity for credibility, compliance and consistency purposes.
  • Produce and submit data for surveys conducted by other companies and organizations.
  • Interact with Human Resources staff and user community to accomplish proactive work plans for continuous improvement and application of technology.
  • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure customer focused delivery of services.
  • Foster and promote proactive communication within the Human Resources Department and throughout the corporation.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Support and/or participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist with special projects as requested.
  • Participate and represent the corporation in civic, industry and professional organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Analyst

  • Minimum of (1) one year HRIS, HR technology, or business information systems analyst experience is required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Senior Analyst

  • Minimum of (5) five years of HRIS, HR techonology, or business information systems analyst experience is required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Continuous improvement change-management and quality principles.
  • Solid understanding of database design, structure, functions and processes.
  • Strong understanding of data sharing between systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Access.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in an environment of rapid change.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities.
  • Ability to train customers using appropriate training methods to address varying levels of computer proficiency.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business and personal employee information.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or continuously to lift, carry, push, pull or sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if moving about is only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Work environment: Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. No travel is required for this role.
