Job Description

This important role is a training, support and quality assurance professional responsible for processes, procedure and PeopleSoft (PS) system training implementation, process testing, documentation and support for Supply Chain Materials and Inventory team.

SALARY RANGE:     $57,750 - $86,650 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate training and development programs that address role-based process, PS system and Supply Chain Processes and Procedure training for SC Materials Supervisors, Material Coordinators, and Storekeepers, as well as any other SC employees or associated operations personnel, including Operations Technicians and Operations Specialists, as necessary
  • Coordinate course development, training methods, training schedules and logistics, communication plans, and follow-up for training on field operations mobile inventory unit and standard inventory process training.
  • Coordinate course development, training methods, training schedules and logistics, communications plans, and follow-up training for all other Supply Chain systems, tools or needs that support standard SC processes (including but not limited to FileNet, reporting tools, customer relationship management, timesheets, codeblock, and procedure updates).
  • Take a managing role with SC stakeholders to map process; then analyze, design, and drive toward improvement and standardization across all jurisdictions.
  • Assess process and system change management requirements, create training documentation, develop and deliver content.
  • Work closely with systems in development and PUM testing of SC Eforms or PS upgrades, as well as changes, and systematically work with and assign testers from stakeholder groups, communicate and train accordingly as updates occurs.
  • Take a lead role in creating new procedures as well as procedure reviews and updates, and follow through with any necessary communication and subsequent training of stakeholders affected.
  • Coordinate test plans, troubleshooting, communication and training for mobile inventory applications or upgrades
  • Serve as liaison to Storekeepers/Material Coordinators to address issues and challenges and share findings with all affected stakeholders.
  • Educate users on problem resolutions for both process and system issues.
  • Manage processes and system enhancements change request intake for data-driven training development and business leader improvement prioritization.
  • Serve as a back-up PS Inventory system analyst to assist Sr. Material Logistics Specialist during heavy system requirements, testing, or during absences.
  • Perform random internal audits and tests throughout inventory business units, and record and communicate results.
  • Strive to meet customer requirements with consistently high quality of service and adequately document each support issue and resolution.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with system teams, project teams, process owners, Continuous Improvement (CI), IT leaders, Audit, and Finance to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and timely for the employee audience.
  • Act as a facilitator of ongoing learning.
  • Contribute to an accessible and well-maintained repository of training and procedural materials.
  • Review and stay knowledgeable of all SC processes, procedures and SOX documents related to SC Materials
  • Serve as a records retention expert for SC Materials

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exercise appropriate level of independent judgment on Company proprietary and confidential matters
  • Provide support to other areas of Supply Chain as requested or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant training or inventory experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in a utility or supply chain environment preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs 
  • Proficient knowledge of PS Inventory system preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as a collaborative team member
  • Independent, well-organized, self-starter and able to adapt to change
  • Ability to develop and implement work processes which contribute to increased efficiencies
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously (67% or more) required to: use fingers and hands, communicate, and have close visual acuity. Employee is frequently (34-66%) required to: reach, push/pull, ascend/descend stairs, position self to access lower items, and move about the office. The employee may occasionally (less than 33%) be required to assist in some warehouse projects where light lifting and physical work may be required. Employee must be able to operate routine office equipment including computers and similar equipment. Must be able to routinely perform this work for an average of 6-8 hours per day and occasional extended hours as necessary. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is continuously required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Work environment: Must be able to occasionally perform work indoors and routinely perform work outdoors in sometimes inclement weather with moderate to high noise level. Worker may be subject to hazards including variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in places of height, or close quarters (i.e., crawl spaces, small enclosed rooms, narrow aisles of passageways). Worker may be subject to vibration, such as oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.  Travel will be required as necessary for face-to-face training. Must be capable of up to 25-30% travel (e.g. 1 week or 5 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
