As a Software Development Analyst in the IT Business Applications Department, you will have the ability to work with several programming languages to successfully design, develop, and test software applications. In this position, you will have full access to the software development lifecycle from requirement gathering through system change control and implementation.    

PAY RANGE:   (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

  • Level II: $73,700 - $110,600
  • Senior: $86,550 - $129,900

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   IT Business Applications Supervisor

LOCATION: Council Bluffs, Iowa

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the Billing System maintaining, enhancing and extending the system through applications development, technical management, and support of enterprise applications. 
  • Design, develop and test software applications in large, complex systems, database structures, and data migration/conversion techniques. 
  • Work closely with end-users and business experts in defining requirements, testing, and in coordinating system enhancements and configuration requests. 
  • Implement technical solutions to improve and streamline business processes and procedures that support company priorities and initiatives. 
  • Follow company established coding standards, naming conventions, and documentation requirements. 
  • Provide follow-up to ensure successful implementation of designs and enhancements. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Level II:

  • Minimum of (3) three years of development experience in developing/programming required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Senior:

  • Minimum of (5) years of development experience in development/programming required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Natural, Cobol, Eztrieve, Linux scripting, SQL.
  • Demonstrated degree of creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work on projects as part of a team. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and work within challenging situations.
