As a Talent Sourcing and Marketing Specialist, you will activate our employer value proposition and create compelling messages that represent the motivations of our target audiences looking for a great career with an opportunity to work for a purpose. You will collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and drive the development and execution of our talent sourcing and marketing strategy, including profiling target candidates and identifying sourcing and marketing tactics to effectively and efficiently attract diverse, top talent. In partnership with our Corporate Communications team, you will create talent brand awareness through various channels that creatively converts passive candidates to active job seekers.

SALARY RANGE:  $73,700 - $110,600 / Grade 14 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Talent Acquisition Manager

LOCATION: Our Corporate Headquarters in Rapid City, South Dakota

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, implement and drive tactical sourcing strategies and research aimed at generating candidate flow for open positions and talent pipelines for all functions. Works with TA Partners to identify talent profiles needed for specific roles and business segments and meets needs by being cost effective and timely.
  • Lead recruiting related marketing and sourcing campaigns and implement effective channel management practices with a direct focus on attracting passive candidates. Mentor Talent Acquisition team on standard processes and train on sourcing tactics.
  • Develop targeted messaging, content and marketing material for email/text campaigns, digital advertisements, branding, etc. that incorporate digital marketing competencies and company brand standards to attract diverse, top talent using CRM, social media, job board sites, and search engines. Drive the candidate engagement strategy that can support pipeline growth and conversion of passive candidates to applicants.  
  • Works with Corporate Communications to drive marketing and branding strategy. Build content, marketing material, and manage a content calendar across all channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to amplify employee stories, extending our reach and influencing candidates. 
  • Oversee career site and recruitment marketing profiles and ensure alignment with our employee value proposition and attraction strategy.
  • Find opportunities to improve recruiting programs, processes and tactics that support the attraction strategy. This includes but is not limited to branding and advertising, social media, internship program, employee referrals, talent network, career fairs, diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Review talent and recruiting dashboards, support special data requests and create routine reports documenting recruitment activity, effectiveness and improvements based on key insights. Ensure we are getting full value from our vendors and key service providers.
  • Maintain applicant tracking database integrity and follow recruiting policy and processes. Ensure compliance with company policies as well as applicable laws, including but not limited to EEO and affirmative action requirements. 
  • Lead CRM and serve as a super-user of talent systems and platforms, understand system requirements and most effective use of system. Evaluates and ensures we are attracting the right talent, applying the right tools and technologies, and using the right practices. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead recruitment outreach activities and represent company as a brand ambassador at conferences, career fairs, and networking opportunities to support recruiting. 
  • Manage the recruitment sourcing and marketing budget, maintaining cost effectiveness and measuring return on investment.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity and trends to identify insights that can be used to build robust pipelines, will also anticipate industry trends and applies labor market information to ensure best-in-class candidate sourcing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five (5) years of marketing or recruitment experience or related field required.  
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of human resource practices and recruiting and marketing trends
  • Understanding of the role of diversity in building a strong, successful workforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM, and other recruiting systems (administration and/or super user).
  • Ability to set priorities, manage several tasks simultaneously and adapt efficiently to change.
  • Advanced customer service skills with ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of employees and management.
