Maintenance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the facility. They will ensure that the processes, systems and tools are implemented; that will empower the staff to achieve the standards set for the facility. The Maintenance Manager will be the primary technical support for the facility. 

SALARY RANGE $108,200 - $178,650 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Director Power Deliver, NSC Operations  

LOCATION: Gillette, Wyoming

  • Manages and directs all plant maintenance functions including monitoring budget, planning work orders, scheduling work orders, and keeping records for plant activities, environmental correspondence, and unit evaluations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual capital and O&M budgets and with monthly reports regarding maintenance activities. 
  • Plans all major activities throughout the year and monitors variances.
  • Provides an organized system for performing all activities within the plant.
  • Assures that all work orders are performed on schedule and schedules are updated based on priority of work.
  • Implementation of EAM (CMMS), Preventative Maintenance Programs such as vibration analysis, lubrication testing, thermography, etc., and EAM for inventory control. 
  • Evaluates and directs the condition monitoring programs of plant equipment.
  • Implementing and documenting modifications to the LMS100 and LM6000 engines (Service Bulletins and Product Bulletins).  This position is responsible for Outage Planning and Outage management, Evaluates and directs testing of plant equipment.
  • Plant Betterment Programs, Preventative Maintenance Analysis, and Thermal Efficiency monitoring will also be under the Engineers guidance.


  • Monitors all plant personnel to assure safety rules and OSHA regulations are followed.
  • Administers processes and procedures as required by RCM.
  • Evaluates training requirements for personnel.


  • Minimum of (5) five years of power generation or gas turbine maintenance experience required.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.   


  • Good knowledge of basic principles of power generation and electrical principles.
  • Understanding of administration, accounting principles and personnel management.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
