Systems Engineers are responsible for hardware and software implementations according to established processes and procedures. Provide second level support for BHE employees. Maintain exemplary customer service standards in responding to user issues and questions. Duties must be performed in accordance with company published policies and procedures. Qualified candidates must be able to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.

SALARY RANGE: $73,700 - $110,600 (Determined by the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Manager Applications

LOCATION: Fayetteville, Arkansas

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide second level technology support to internal users in assigned areas.
  • Provide support for distributed IT server and storage infrastructure.
  • Provide Microsoft Active Directory administration for corporate domain.
  • Implement proactive measures to ensure availability, reliability, and performance goals are consistently met.
  • Ensure system security in compliance with regulations and company policy.
  • Ensure systems are properly patched according to documented procedures and schedules.
  • Identify and assist in implementing improvements to all supported systems.
  • Create, own, and manage end-to-end ticket flow process associated with vulnerability requests and change tickets.
  • Perform assigned activities according to established BHE processes and procedures.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide weekly status reports. 
  • Effectively document procedures for audit and control purposes. 
  • Willingly accept all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience supporting a complex infrastructure environment.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Security or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, architecture, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Desktop and Virtual Application technologies
  • Experience supporting Windows Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, and Azure.
  • Experience installing and supporting HPe and Nutanix servers, storage, and hyperconverged equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Utility Industry is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment 
  • Ability to work from remote locations as required
