This position reports to the manager of measurement services.  The position is responsible for reviewing, approving, and analyzing volumetric and gas quality data using data analytical applications such as FlowCal and AutoSol.  This position will select meters to review for gas quality assignments.  This positon works with the measurement manager, field managers, and measurement specialists to review project line, set-up loss and accounted-for reports, and state reports.

SALARY RANGE:  $65,700 - $98,500 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Manager of Measurement Services 

LOCATION: Council Bluffs, Iowa

  • Relocation financial assistance is available, amount may vary based on individual circumstances.    

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Setting up project lines for balancing.
  • Performing initial security reviews for the FlowCal application.
  • Reviewing gas quality components.
  • Setting exceptions for gas quality gas components within the FlowCal application.
  • Helping with tariff reviews.
  • Reviewing security changes.
  • Running balance (loss and unaccounted-for) reports for all state reporting.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing gas quality assignments to line segments.
  • Creating reports, alerts, audit reports.
  • Back-up measurement manager as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of (5) five years utility experience in, Gas Measurement, Gas Supply transportation services, Billing and/or Accounting.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in computer applications: Word, EXCEL, Power Point.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Creative in seeking alternate solutions.
  • Proficient in FlowCal and AutoSol

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or continuously to lift, carry, push, pull or sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if moving about is only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Work environment: Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.
