WAGE RANGE:   Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.

  • Level I:  $29.18 - $43.65
  • Senior Level:  $32.09 - $48.22

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:   Gas Technical Services Supervisor

LOCATION:  This position may be located in Laramie, Medicine Bow, Rawlins or Sinclair, Wyoming.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Installs, inspects, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and adjusts various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, SCADA equipment and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems and SCADA Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) equipment. 
  • Performs inspection and maintenance (I&M) checks on all control systems.
  • Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution. 
  • Test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate transmission meters, gauges, transmitters and related equipment.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities control and automation equipment as needed.
  • Oversee electrical construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company Standards, procedures, regulatory and tariff requirements.
  • Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Level I: No experience required. Training provided.
  • Senior Level: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Electrical training or equivalent knowledge is helpful. 
  • Understanding of and experience in natural gas measurement and AGA standards. 
  • Experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems.
  • Knowledge of operating cost associated with the equipment in area of responsibility.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Intermediate digital literacy.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required job schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. 
  • Ability to operate manual and powered equipment.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee continuously moves about the office and the job sites and operates machines and equipment. Employee frequently accesses low and high areas with additional equipment, ascends/descends stairs, maintains coordination, and engages in repetitive motions (kneeling, reaching). Employee may occasionally use a respirator. Employee operates job related equipment and tools. Employee routinely performs this work for an average of 8-10 hours per day and occasional extended hours as necessary. Regular, reliable, and timely attendance is expected. 

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work environment: Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level and occasionally outdoors in sometimes inclement weather. Worker may be subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in places of height or close quarters. Willing to travel occasionally (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must have proper licensing to operate a motor vehicle.
